About Me

Hi there! I’m Justine Yu, a Filipino American lefty ceramicist living in Baltimore. I started my clay journey in July 2023 in search of a creative outlet from my normal 9-5 corporate job and fell in love. Although I love the hustle and bustle of the city, I find myself time and time again escaping to the mountains and always feel healed by a weekend in the woods. I found I was able to replicate those feelings through pottery, feeling the world disappear whenever I was behind the wheel and would leave the studio feeling “centered” and light. A recent trip to the Philippines inspired me to take what started as a hobby to the next level and share my love for nature with others through the creation of whimsical ceramics. I design functional pieces that are made to inspire and hopefully spread the joy I feel while making them. Thanks for stopping by!
